Allergens and food safety

Please read this before ordering.

Our cookies are baked in a kitchen that handles wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame and soy. We cannot guarantee that any product is free from any allergen, and we cannot rule out cross-contact between ingredients.

Where we describe a product as vegan, gluten-free, or free from a particular ingredient, we mean that the recipe does not include it. It does not mean the product was made in a separate facility, or that it is certified allergen-free.

Please review the ingredients before ordering and contact us at hello@saltbuttercookie.com in advance with any allergy concerns.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change without notice. We try to keep the site accurate, but if a product is listed at an incorrect price we may cancel the order and refund you rather than fulfil it at that price.

All payments are handled by Wix. We do not release any order until payment has been received in full, and we may cancel any order we have not been paid for.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy, which we accept when we confirm it. We may refuse or cancel any order, and we may limit quantities per person, per household or per order — including orders that appear to come from resellers. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.

You agree to give us accurate contact, billing and delivery details, and to keep them up to date, so that we can complete your order and reach you if something goes wrong.

Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew on the same date each month using the payment method provided at checkout. Each renewal is for the same product, flavor, size and quantity as your original subscription unless changes are made before the renewal date.

Subscription orders follow our regular shipping and local pick-up schedules.

If a seasonal product becomes unavailable, we will contact you before your next order to arrange a replacement.

You may change, pause or cancel your subscription before your next renewal. Please email hello@saltbuttercookie.com for assistance.

Shipping

We ship nationwide every Monday via UPS Ground. Delivery times are estimates and may vary by destination. Orders placed after 12 PM PT on Sunday ship the following week.

We pack every order carefully for transit. Once an order has been handed over to UPS, we cannot guarantee against damage, delay, or loss in transit. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us with photos and we will do what we reasonably can to help.

Local pick-up

Pick-up is every Saturday at 10 AM at Liberation Coffee House, 6725 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90038. Orders placed after 12 PM PT on Friday move to the following Saturday.

Please arrive within the one-hour pickup window. If you're running late, contact us as soon as possible. Orders not picked up within this time without prior notice will be forfeited and are non-refundable.

Returns, refunds and cancellations

All sales are final. Due to the perishable nature of our cookies, we do not accept food returns. Merchandise is also final sale unless it arrives damaged or incorrect.

This does not take away any right you have under law, and it is not us refusing to put things right. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not in the condition it should be in, email hello@saltbuttercookie.com and we will look at it case by case.

Freshness and storage

Store cookies at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and humidity. For optimal freshness, enjoy before the best-before date indicated on the information card inside the box.

We are not responsible for products that have been stored improperly or collected after the scheduled pickup time.

Catering enquiries

Submitting a catering enquiry through this site is a request for information, not a booking. Nothing is reserved and no date is held until we have confirmed the details with you in writing and any agreed deposit has been paid. Quotes are estimates, and are valid for the period stated on them.

Product descriptions and images

We do our best to describe and photograph our products accurately. Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, size, appearance, and finish may occur. Product details may be updated or corrected without notice.

Using this website

You may use this site to browse and to buy for your own personal use. You may not copy, resell, scrape or exploit any part of the site or its content without our written permission, interfere with how the site works, or use it for anything unlawful.

SALT BUTTER COOKIE® is a registered trademark of motes LLC. The SALT Butter Cookie name, logo, photography and written content may not be copied or used without our written permission.

Other brands mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners.

Services we rely on

This site depends on services we do not control, including Wix for our store, checkout and payments, and UPS for delivery. When you are redirected to Wix’s checkout you are also subject to Wix’s terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for those services’ availability or conduct.

Availability of the site

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of this site or our product range at any time and without notice, and we are not liable to you for doing so.

Limits on our liability

Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from them will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
